Biography
Umar Ansari is Global Head of AI Clinical Solutions at Abbott, where he leads the company's AI initiatives in digital health solutions and helps health systems apply AI to clinical workflows. He joined Abbott in 2017 after solution-architecture, integration and strategy roles at Cerner. He holds a BS in Biology and Computer Science from the University of Iowa and a Master's in Healthcare Informatics, and completed Harvard Medical School's executive education programme in AI in Healthcare in 2025. He speaks regularly at healthcare conferences such as HIMSS, AACC and Arab Health.
