Tarkan Jäger is a surgeon and Supplemental Head of the Department of General, Visceral and Thoracic Surgery at University Hospital Salzburg, Paracelsus Medical University. He specialises in oncological and colorectal surgery with a focus on peritoneal malignancies and has led the department's working group on this topic since 2012. He completed his habilitation in 2019 on predictive and prognostic factors in surgical oncology and holds an MSc in Health Sciences, Leadership and Management from PMU Salzburg. His clinical work combines open resection with minimally invasive laparoscopic and robot-assisted techniques for abdominal cancer.
