Biography
Gregor Hoermann works as a clinical pathologist / specialist in laboratory medicine at the MLL Munich Leukemia Laboratory, where he heads the Phenotype Diagnostics division. He completed his M.D., Ph.D. and habilitation in Vienna and worked as an associate professor at the Clinical Institute for Laboratory Medicine (KILM) at the Medical University of Vienna and as a senior physician at the Central Institute for Medical and Chemical Laboratory Diagnostics (ZIMCL) at Innsbruck University Hospital. Diagnostics and pathophysiology of systemic mastocytosis and myeloid neoplasms are the focus of his research activities, which have been published in 200 scientific articles. His current research focuses on molecular diagnostics, clonal hematopoiesis, classification of myeloid diseases and artificial intelligence in hematologic diagnostics.
